X-Net 8 ArtNet Addressing by Mick Martin | Mar 21, 2012 | Knowledge Base
The X-Net 8 has an inexplicably complicated switch setting. In this article I do my best to explain it.
Image The possible addresses are in the range 2.39.2.4 to 2.39.2.250. Each address setting occupies 2 address slots. So, for example, Sw1 = 1, Sw2 = 3, Sw3 = 0 corresponds to 2.39.2.4 to 2.39.2.5.
It is important to note that the address change does not take affect until the X-Net interface is powered off and on.
The address range below is that of the least significant IP address field.
Address range Sw1 Sw2 Sw3 4 thru 23 1 3 0 thru 9 24 thru 43 1 4 0 thru 9 44 thru 63 1 5 0 thru 9 64 thru 83 1 6 0 thru 9 84 thru 103 1 7 0 thru 9 104 thru 123 1 8 0 thru 9 124 thru 143 1 9 0 thru 9 144 thru 163 2 0 0 thru 9 164 thru 183 2 1 0 thru 9 184 thru 203 2 2 0 thru 9 200 thru 219 1 0 0 thru 9 220 thru 239 1 1 0 thru 9 240 thru 250 1 2 0 thru 5
