Artist Help:Security Preferences

Artist has a set of four access policies, known as Security Schemes, which can be used to prohibit access to elements of Artist and of the workspace.

This property page is only accessible from within the Installer scheme.

Defining the Security Schemes

From the main menu select Tools/Preferences to open the Preferences dialog. Select the Security tab.

Select a scheme to show the features available in the Windows tree view. If a password is defined for the scheme it will be shown in the Scheme password edit box.

Change the settings and password you require for that scheme and select another. Usually, you will find that the default settings for each profile will give you the security you need.

Selecting a scheme

You select a scheme from the main menu File/Security Scheme. If the selected scheme requires a password a dialog will appear.

Once a scheme has been selected, closing Artist will save this as the default scheme when Artist is next booted.
