Artist Help:Re-ordering colour mix channels

From ShowCAD Wiki

Ordinarily production colour mixing fixtures are either arranged as Red, Green, Blue (RGB) or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow (CMY). Situation sometimes arise where this is not the case. In these case you have to be able to change the channel order to achieve meaning colour change control.

Colour Mixing Parameter With this type of parameter it is done at the template level.

Using the Template Wizard create you template and add the Colour Mix or Colour Mix Dimmer parameter as required. When you get to the Channel Offset page of the Wizard you can rearrange the channel order.

The channels are named as X, Y and Z. Where X is Red (R), Y is Green (G) and Z is Blue (B). Arrange these channels in the order they appear in your fixture.

You can now use this template to create your fixtures or redefine the fixture you have already installed.

Pixel Array Parameter You can elect to change the order at any time with a Pixel Array type of parameter.

In the Fixture Navigator open the branch with the fixture Pixel Array parameter Right-click on it and select Properties Select the Pixel Array tab select the desired order in the Pixel Format combo box. This will redefine the order for all the fixture in the group.
