Auto save[edit]
Artist Automatically saves a shadow copy of the loaded workspace periodically. This dialog allows you to set the period.
In the event that Artist shuts down prematurely, when you restart if there were unsaved files you are prompted to overwrite with the shadow files.
Workspace directory[edit]
When you create a new Workspace or restore one from backup it is stored in the directory define in the edit box. The browse button allows you to select another directory. This directory is also used for the boot workspace select menu.
There are some other data files contained in sub-directories of the Workspace directory.
Sounds | this contain audio wave files. See Audio Manager. |
Videos | this contain video clip files. See Video Manager. |
Images | this contain user created images for use in fixture effects. See Bitmap Manager and Effects. |
Templates | this contains fixture template files for creating fixtures. |
Backup | this contains your workspace backup archive. |
Prompt for Save on close[edit]
Check this box if you want to be asked if you need to save the files when Artist is closed. If this box is not checked Artist automatically saves any changes you have made during this session.
Don't Close if cues running[edit]
If this box is check Artist will not close if any Cues are currently active. You must stop all cue activity before closing.
Enable Activity Log[edit]
If this box is checked Artist maintains an Activity log file. This list cue activation times. See Files for the location of this file.
Enable Chronometer[edit]
If this box is checked Artist keeps a tally of the time the program has spent running since it was installed. See Files for the location of this file.
