Artist Help:Cue List Events
Cue Lists in Artist can be assigned to an event stream. Each cue in the list can be set to trigger at a particular time on the selected stream thus providing synchronous timing with the incoming timing stream.
The following event sources are available:
None | the does not monitor any incoming streams and therefore does not use any of the allocated event times. |
List Timer | the list is assigned to a free running timer which can be started and stopped by the user or with a System Command |
MTC (MIDI Time Code) | this will monitor an incoming MIDI time code stream from an external source such as a disc player or other media player. |
Real Time | this monitors the time of day and the cue events are at a specific time. This list will repeat these events in a 24 hour loop. |
Audio | when Artist plays an internal audio file it streams time code that can be monitored by this cue list. Other cue lists can simultaneously listen to the same audio file stream or other audio files. |
Video | when Artist plays an internal video clip it streams time code that can be moniotred by this cue list. |
Editing[edit]
When any of the Event Sources is selected a new column appears in the Cue List client view headed Event Time. This column shows the times at which each cue will be triggered. You can manually edit these time or use the Time Line editor.
Running Source[edit]
The Cue List client window will show what Event Source the list is assigned to. The Master/List Control window shows the state of the displayed Cue List. Click the Events button to start the Cue List listening to the incoming stream.
If you want the Cue List to listen to the stream when Artist launches, in Cue List Properties select Auto Start media.
