Artist Help:Fixture Group Properties
This dialog has 3 tabs,
Group
This tab contains general properties for the fixture in the group.
Group name | enter the name of the fixture group | ||||||

Hide Fixtures | check this to hide long lists of fixtures under the fixture group in the navigator. This can speed up the loading of the navigator. | ||||||
Fixture Position Lock | check this to lock the positions of fixtures on the grid. |
Grid
This tab is used to set up and define the fixture grid.
Snap Fixture to Grid | if checked, when moving fixtures on the grid the position will snap to the grid lines. |
Show Fixture Name | if checked, the fixture names are displayed under the fixture icon. |
Display Active Parameter | if checked, the fixture active parameter is displayed in the fixture icon. |
Default Matrix | this defines the default matrix arrangement for use by chases or effects |
View | By default a fixture group has a dedicated view of its own. You can, however, select a specific view (between 1 and 32) on which to display the fixtures. This means that more than one fixture group can share a view allowing them to be displayed simultaneously. |
Horz | set the horizontal size in grid units of the fixture grid |
Vert | set the vertical size in grid units of the fixture grid |
Canvas
This tab is used to setup and define the effect canvas. The effect canvas is only displayed when showing Pixel Array parameters.
Effect | this sets the brightness off the masked effect canvas in order to see the whole effect. |
Background | this sets the brightness of the Background image. |
Padding | this displays padding between the pixel and the pixel border. |
Border | this displays a fixture border. |
Background Filename | this set the filename of the background image displayed in the effect canvas. This image is not output to the fixture but is used as a useful representation of the pixel locations. |
Horz | this is the horizontal resolution of the effect graphics surface. |
Vert | this is the vertical resolution of the effect graphics surface. |
Rotate Snap Angle | this sets the rotational snap angle in degrees. |
Positional Snap | this sets the positional snap of the fixture in fraction of canvas height and width. |
