This applies any locally installed media player.

On Windows Vista and 7

Open Control Panel/Sound/Recording. Right-click in the list and ensure that ‘Show Disabled Devices’ is checked.

Set ‘Stereo Mix’ as default.

Artist Sound to Light will now respond to either Line In or locally played sound or video files.
