You can set the following actions to take place automatically when Artist is booted. === Main Window === The main Artist window can be forced into one of the following modes at start-up. {| class="wikitable" |+ Main Window Modes |- | Normal || The Artist window will be saved as it is stored in the workspace in the normal way. |- | Maximised || The Artist window is shown maximised. |- | Minimised || The Artist window is shown minimised. |- | In Tray|| The Artist window is not shown and Artist is represented by an icon in the Windows status bar. You can right-click on the icon to select some limited functions. Any detached windows will be shown. |} === Check boxes === {| class="wikitable" |- | Lamp strike|| A lamp on signal is sent to all installed fixtures at start-up. |- | Select Workspace|| at start up Artist displays a dialog that the user must select a workspace from. This list contains those workspaces found in the default workspace directory. |- | Theatre GUI|| the Theatre GUI with open at start-up. |- | Operator GUI|| the Operator GUI with open at start-up. |- | Enable Hot Plugging|| this option is enabled by default. You can disable this function if you suspect it is causing issues with device drivers reloading. |- | Force What's New|| check this to display the 'What's New' document when Artist is next launched. |} === Auto Launch === The caption on the button will read 'Don't Start at Logon' if Artist has been set to start automatically. It will say 'Start at Logon otherwise. This function adds a Task to the Windows Task Scheduler which will run each time the current user logs in. The details of the scheduler task are in the 'startup.exe' file. You can edit this to provide user details or alternate directories if required. === Delay Launch === Set the delay value before automatically launching Artist. This may be useful for allowing other drivers time to load. === Auto-start Cues === You can select cues to activate upon Artist booting. Please note that these cues will be overridden if the real-time script or time code scripts are set to start on booting. The cues that will start automatically are displayed in the list box. Click Add to add a cue to the start-up list. You can then select the Cue List and Cue you require. To edit of delete a cue from the start-up list, click on the cue and click Edit or Delete. === Operator Screen === There are 3 Types of screen selectable. Legacy 1 - is the original Artist operator screen. It is maintained purely for backward compatibility. Not recommended for new installs. Legacy 2 - this screen is also maintained for customer preference and backward compatibility. Not recommended for new installs. Operator Panels This is the preferred Operator Screen. You can set the number of panels by setting the number of Instances. The ShowOpertor Screen checkbox only applies to Legacy 1.
