Editing Artist Help:Control Panel

The Control Panel is a user definable graphic interface for controlling Artist. It is designed to be displayed full screen on multiple monitor systems. It can display multiple GUIs on separate definable monitors and be made to start automatically on starting Artist.

The GUI displays Pages of user programmed buttons for activating Cues in Artist.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Control Panel Dialog
Properties displays the Control Panel Settings dialog. 
Show show the Control Panel GUIs 
Hide hide the Control Panel GUIs 
Auto Launch if checked automatically display the Control Panel GUIs when Artist is started. 

The Control Panel dialogs are located in Navigator/Resources/System Control/Control Panel. Right-click on this and select Properties will open the Settings dialog for the GUIs.

Settings
You can display the dialog in any of these ways,

Click on Settings button in the Control Panel Dialog as above. 
Click the Settings button if displayed on any of the displayed GUIs 
right-click in a GUI window while holding down the Left Ctrl key. 
 

Select GUI this combo box allows you to select the GUI to change the settings of. 
Add GUI this adds a new blank GUI with default settings.  
Delete GUI this permanently deletes the currently selected GUI 

GUI Settings
GUI Name edit the name of the selected GUI. This is the name that appears on the GUI title bar if it is shown. 
Screen defines how the GUI will be displayed.
 Normal the GUI opens in a normal resizable window that can be positioned anywhere on the desktop. 
Screen x the GUI is displayed maximized on the select screen. 
 
Always On Top the GUI is the top most window. 
Hide Title Bar the GUI is shown without a Title bar 
Hide Pointer the Mouse pointer is hidden when positioned over the GUI window. 
Hide Settings hides the Settings button on the GUI. 
Select Page Select the Page to edit. 
Add Page add a new blank Page. 
Delete Page delete the selected Page 

Page Settings
Page Name edit the name of the Page. These names appear in the tab strip on the GUI. 
Columns set the number of Button displayed horizontally. 
Rows set the number of Buttons displayed vertically. 
Add Button add an new Button 
Delete Button delete the Button selected in the List View 
List View this displays all the Buttons in the selected Page.
